Olek Bendinger- 2nd Dan Black Belt

I joined the CSKC in March 2015 when I was 5 years old. I began training in the "young tigers" group under Sensei Roger Beresford 4th Dan.

In the beginning training was hard as I needed to learn new skills and techniques that I had never done before. I also had to learn discipline and etiquette in the dojo.

With Time I gained confidence and started to enjoy the training which involved warm up games, punching, kicking and blocking.

In November 2015 I passed my first grading exam under Sensei Frank Brennan 8th Dan, who would be my grading examiner for the next three years. during this time, I passed all my exams.

As my confidence grew, I started training twice a week under the club's chief Instructor Sensei Phillip Gandy 6th Dan and I continue to train under Sensei Gandy to this day.

I worked very hard, attending various KUGB courses around the country, Developing my skills power, strength, discipline and attitude.

Although it was stressful and scary at first, I learned to enjoy the competitions and will continue to participate in the future.

In December 2016 I proudly received the clubs " Best \Junior Student of the year" award voted for by the club's Senior Instructors.

On March 16th, 2019, I took my KUGB 1st Dan Black belt exam. The training leading up to the exam was intense. However, I tried my very best and was rewarded by passing the exam at the first attempt and received my hard-earned black belt. The course was held in Oxford, the grading examiners were Sensei Andy sherry 9th Dan and Sensei Billy Higgins 8th Dan.

For the last three years I have been training hard towards my 2nd Dan grading.

CSKC is an amazing club. It has a very experienced group of Instructors some of whom have been selected onto the KUGB National Squads.

This is one of the reasons why I will continue to train and support the club.

On Sunday 30th October 2022 I passed my 2nd Dan Black Belt exam. The grading examiners were KUGB Chairman Sensei Frank Brennan 8th Dan and Sensei Garry Harford 8th Dan
